Basteleur v2.1

16 May 2023Version 2.1 introduces Greek support for Basteleur Bold and Basteleur Moonlight

Grotesk v3.0

13 January 2023In 2023, a new version of Grotesk developed by Ariel Martín Pérez was released. This new version introduces new weights that are multiplexed, which means that you can change the weight of the font without changing the width of the paragraphs. This new version also presents some subtle optical corrections. Last but not least, it considerably expands the glyphset of the font with a brand new lowercase set as well as language support for Russian, Ukrainian, Tifinagh and many Latin-based languages.

BackOut 2.1

5 October 2022The 2.1 version of Backout presents improved spacing and kerning, some new ligatures and some subtle optical adjustments.

Basteleur v2.0

15 June 2022A bit more than a year after its original release, Keussel adds a new sharp thinner weight to the pre-existing soft bold weight of Basteleur. Welcome Basteleur Moonlight!!!

Robert Nesta Marley, más conocido como Bob Marley, fue un músico, guitarrista y compositor jamaicano. Durante su carrera musical fue el líder, compositor y guitarrista de las bandas de The Wailers y Bob Marley & The Wailers. Marley sigue siendo el más conocido y respetado intérprete de la música reggae y es acreditado por ayudar a difundir tanto la música de Jamaica como el movimiento rastafari (del que era un miembro comprometido) a una audiencia mundial.

Font description

Inspired by humanist classics such as Albertus, BackOut is a glyphic typeface with a decidely African design. Its name comes from the eponymous song by Bob Marley and The Wailers.

The 2.0 version of BackOut is a faithful review of Frank's original with improved spacing and kerning, corrected contrast, new lowercase letters and extended language support and functionalities. In October 2022, the 2.1 version was released, with revised kerning and some other minor modifications.

Versions history

This typeface is open-source. As such, it has been modified over the time and you can see here the different major versions it went by and the people working on these versions.
